fairy tales

Today I discovered

The joy of telling stories

About work – stress, strife, friction, disappointment, grit, determination, discipline

As if I were a hero on an epic journey

And this peninsula a mystical wonderland.

The board? Giants.

The cache? A pot of gold.

The investors? Elves, with varied personalities

And fickle traits.

The flawed model? A broken sword,

A deadline a scheduled battle.

Dwarves, with shoddy craftsmanship.

A cursed princess and a cartoonish snow leopard cub.

An enchanted bug, a poisoned toadstool.

And dragons to slay.

I can speak in allegories.

Convert the droll drama to a crafted entertainment

for someone else’s benefit.

A quarter turn from complaint to hero’s journey.

Myths and legends over cocktails.
